50 Years of Hard Work!
My dear father, Tegwyn Jones, purchased Barley Green Farm (with my mother) way back in 1971. It was quite the adventure, as they moved the whole family up from London for a new life in the Suffolk countryside.
This house is my father’s pride and joy, and he worked on the house, the barn, and the land, almost every day for 50 years. Usually, alongside our mother. Sadly, mum died a couple of years ago… and, in his 90s, the place just got too much for him.
The Old Geezer is now living elsewhere in my care (and has, thankfully, taken the move to city/apartment living in his stride). He’s 97 (98 in a couple of months) and still ticking along… a testament to all those years of fresh air, and clean country living. (That’s him having lunch with me in Youth Hill Park recently.) This means the house is partially furnished (including my very own antique grandfather clock) and available with Vacant Possession.
